WHALE BONANZA

October continues to be an outstanding and memorable month: large numbers of humpback whales are spotted these days - up to the point that one simply looses count of how many individuals are surfacing in the vicinity of the boats within just a few minutes.

THE WHALE'S COUSIN

It is the second largest mammal on land, grey and massive, lives mostly in water, but comes to land between dusk and dawn. It can't swim and barely float, but walks underwater. Even though being fully vegetarian, it is considered the most dangerous animal in Africa, being responsible for most human deaths annually.

INTO THE WILD

While the weather has not necessarily welcomed us into the new month, the whales certainly did. Throughout our tours these days we were able to observe several humpback whale individuals that had entered the bay in search for food - or maybe simply to seek shelter from the even worse weather out in the open ocean up north.
